Help & contact
How PULF works, how to hand items over safely, and how to reach the team.
How it works
- 1
Report it
Post a lost item so finders can reach you, or a found item so its owner can claim it. Add a photo if you have one.
- 2
Claim with proof
If you spot your item among the found reports, claim it and describe something only the owner would know.
- 3
Finder approves
The finder compares your answer with the item. If it matches, they approve and you both see each other's contact details.
- 4
Hand it over
Meet on campus. Once the item is back with its owner, the finder marks the claim completed and the report shows as Returned.
Safe handover tips
- Meet in a busy campus place such as the library entrance or main building lobby, during the day.
- As a finder, keep one or two details out of your post so you can check claims against them.
- Never pay or ask for money to return an item.
- For ID cards and valuables, you can also hand the item to a campus office and close your report.
Common questions
Who can see my phone number or email?
On a lost report, any signed-in member, so a finder can reach you. On a found report, only admins and the person whose claim you approve. Guests never see contact details.
Can I edit or delete a report?
Yes, while it's still open and no claim has been approved. After that the details are locked so the claimant knows what they agreed to.
Someone claimed my found item but I'm not sure it's theirs.
Reject the claim, or wait for more claims. Only approve when the details match something not shown in your post. You can revoke an approval if the person doesn't turn up.
I got my lost item back without using PULF.
Open the report and choose “I got it back”. It moves to Returned and stops showing as lost.
A post looks fake or breaks the rules.
Contact the PULF team with the record number (for example PULF-F-0015). Moderators can flag a post for review or remove it.
